Casting Call for FEATURE FILM!
Calling Young Skateboarders!
We are casting two child roles for a high-concept indie film, shooting for six weeks across October–November 2025.
The story follows a family of skaters and explores themes of grief, love, and the freedom to live an alternative lifestyle.
No prior acting experience is necessary, but if you’ve done any performing before—whether in school, on stage, or on camera—please let us know.
These are central roles in the film. We’re looking for young people who are up for trying new things, open to direction, and comfortable in front of a camera.
These are paid roles. All relevant child performance licenses will be arranged, and a parent or licensed chaperone must be available to accompany the successful applicants to all their shoot dates. Chaperones will also be paid.
ROLE ONE
Age: 9–12
Gender: Any
Ethnicity: Any
This character is passionate, opinionated, and direct—sometimes serious, and protective of their younger sibling.
Skate skills: Confident skater. Should be comfortable moving at speed, navigating a skate park, and experimenting with the board. Tricks are a bonus—if you’ve got some, we’d love to hear about them!

This character is wild, boisterous, and full of joy. They love their family—and they love to skate.
Skate skills: Basic ability is fine. Should be comfortable on a board and starting to find their feet. No tricks necessary—but if you’ve got some, feel free to let us know!
